15. Plana Domic (1951-2004)

Plana Domiç werd geboren op 23 mei 1951 in Sabac, een plaats vlakbij Belgrado. Ze werkte in het ziekenhuis; eerst op de administratie en later als hoofdzuster. In Pristina trouwde ze met Ismet en kreeg twee kinderen, Mina en Esko. In 1981 scheidden ze.
Tijdens de oorlog vluchtte ze met Mina en Esko uit Pristina en op 6 mei 1999 werd het drietal ingeschreven bij de Burgerlijke Stand van Gouda. Vanuit de Herenstraat was het een klein eindje naar de Raam waar ze veel te vinden was in De Speelwinkel tot haar overlijden.
Ze was de laatste Goudse die begraven werd vanuit de voormalige Sacramentskerk (nu Gezondheidscentrum Korte Akkeren) aan de Constantijn Huygensstraat.
Haar dochter Mina zegt over haar: 'ze hield van mensen, had lef, was doorzetter, vechter, vrolijk en zong graag!

Plana Domic was born in Sabac, a town near Belgrado, on May 23, 1951. She worked in the hospital; first on the administration and later as senior nurse. In Pristina she married Ismet and the couple had two children, Mina and Esko. In 1981 they divorced.
During the war Plana fled with Mina and Esko from Pristina and on May 6, 1999 the three of them were registered at the Civil Registry of Gouda. From the Herenstraat it was a short walk to the Raam where she could often be found ii De Speelwinkel, until she passed away.
She was the last woman in Gouda who was burried from the former Sacraments Church (now Health Centre Korte Akkeren) at the Constantijn Huygensstraat.
Her daughter Mina describes her as a woman who 'loved people, had a lot of nerve, did not easily give up, was a fighter, cheerful and she liked to sing!
